Gel Manicure. (Update)

Over this past week I finally decided to try a gel manicure, I've heard so much about it for awhile so I decided to give it a go. I went to a nail salon near my grans house in Mt.Vernon, Grace Nails and I feel that they did an okay job. I payed $25 which, when I looked it up, was the average charge. The only complaint that I have, have absolutely nothing to do with the actual process but more so as to how they did it. I feel like it came out a bit sloppy because it was like the lady that did it was rushing to finish. But I'm on Day 2 and still looks pretty good as it did when I stepped out the nail salon. Here are a few pictures of what it currently looks like.....

It's still looking shiny and gloss with no chipping yet, and I even washed the dishes, which would normally be when I kiss my manicure goodbye. But overall I'm enjoying it and I'm also gonna keep updating on how it's holding up week by week. So keep a look out.....

Two weeks later.......
I thought I would do an update on how my gel manicure is holding up. Soooo it is now 2 weeks later and the nail polish is still on my fingers.... I honestly was shocked after a week that it was able to last so long. I love not having my nails chip so often because I'm the kind of person that as soon as my nail polish starts chipping, Im ready to take it off and start all over again. The gel manicure give me non-chipping, shiny nails for , what seems to me, a long time. I love the fact that I can do my nails every 2 weeks without having to redo it, or touch it up. With that being said I am currently looking into at-home gel manicure kit because to me it just makes more sense to be able to pay one price for the kit than to spend $25 to get my nails done every 2 weeks.
This is what my nails looked like after having the gel manicure on my nails for 2 weeks. You can see how much my nails have grown since then.

Right now I'm looking into a couple different kits,
The Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish Starter Kit, the SensatioNail Starter Kit, and the Sephora by Opi Gelshine At-Home Gel Colour System. So I'm looking into them all, seeing which ones the best but if any of you guys have tried any of these kits out or of any other at-home kits, let me know how they've worked out.
