Usually over the summer I get pretty obsessed with getting my hair healthy and helping it grow, especially recently since going away to college. With that being said here are some of the products that I have been using this summer to help repair my hair and keep it healthy.
First is the group of products are Organix Nourishing in Coconut Milk. The ones that I have are the Shampoo, Condition, Instant Repair Treatment, and the Leave-In Nourishing Milk. These products, as well as the others in the Organix brand are perfect for all hair types. I decided to try these out after seeing reviews about it on Youtube and seeing as a lot of people said that Coconut oil is good for your hair, I figured that these products would work as well. Out of these 4 products my favorite one was the Instant Repair Treatment. Most of the times you have to use a product for awhile to see a change but justing using the Instant Repair once I had already seen and felt a difference on my hair, it was breaking less and had very few split ends. The shampoo lathers up really well, better than any other shampoo I had tried in the past and with both the regular conditioner and leave-in conditioner, leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth. And I'm not a huge fan of coconuts and their smell but the products didn't have a strong, over powering coconut scent, it was the right amount. Also recently I found out that the brand Organix had a Biotin and Collagen range which I'm excited to try out soon.
Next is Aussie, I purchased the products in the Moist line, the Shampoo, Conditioner, and the 3-minute miracle, which is a deep conditioner. I love, love, love these products. I feel that when I usually wash my hair myself that it feels rather dry and that's why I decided to try out these products and again with using these I felt a difference right after I stepped out the shower. My hair didn't feel dry, it felt soft like when I go to the salon. I love the smell of the line, I don't really know exactly how to describe it but to me kind of smells like fruit candy with like a faint smell of coconut but overall I love what it did for my hair. When it finishes these are products that I will definitely re-purchase.
Lastly is the L'Oreal Everstrong Sulfate-free Reconstruction Shampoo and Conditioner. I kept hearing that Sulfate-free Shampoo's are the way to go but for me I didn't really see the hype of any difference in using these. For one, they didn't lather up as well I wanted to, so I ended up using more product then I typically would. For me the bubbles are a sign that my hair is getting clean and without it I just feel like it just wet up my hair with water and it's still oily. The smell isn't exactly my favorite, it smell like cooking herbs, the shampoo is Rosemary and Juniper and the conditioner is Rosemary and Mint. I did although like the feel that the mint in the conditioner left on my scalp but I just wish it had more of a fruiter fragrance. But overall I would just use these in-between major washes to "wash" my hair and kind of give it a break from the shampoos and conditioners with sulfate in them.
Overall I would say that these products are good to use for all hair types it just really depends on what your looking for in the products. But if there are any hair products you think I should try out or any tips and tricks you have just comment them below.
