Sleek MakeUp i-Divine Ultra Mattes v2 Darks Palette

Just started classes today and there was a snow storm that caused the school to close at 1 yesterday and I have no classes today, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to write this post that I've actually been planning for awhile. And luckily enough I was able to get a couple of pictures of the palette before one of the shadows broke while I was moving in.

About a month ago I decide to order a Sleek palette after looking into it for awhile. I can honestly say I'm so glad I did. It's worth the money and then some. (It was only $10.) The palette I got comes with 12 different matte colors and each color has an amazing color pay off. Each shade is super pigmented.

I don't know if you can tell from the photo or not, but the colors I've "attacked" the most are Maple, which I love to use in my crease, Paper Bag, for when I'm going for a more "natural" look and Dune, I use as a highlight.

I really enjoy matte colors, so I'm enjoying this palette.

Which do you prefer, matte or shimmery colors ?
Have you tried any of Sleeks other products ?

I'm ready to get a couple more palettes.

New Year's Resolution.

With the New Year comes new goals or as we have all come to know New Years Resolutions.
I, just like many other people, have tried the whole making goals for the new year and have failed miserably.

Buying that bottle of Pespi instead of reaching for the water, not telling that one person how you really feel about a situation, or sitting home on a Saturday when you promised yourself you'd try to get out more.
I think that there is a lot of pressure to complete these goals for the whole year because some where in the middle we slip up and loose it all. Which I why I stopped doing the whole 'Making a New Years Resolution' thing. Instead of waiting for January 1st when there are 364 (0r 365 in a leap year) other days for you to make a change.

Instead of trying to make you goal for the whole year right of the bat, start small at 1 week then when you complete it add more time, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months etc. that way it's
a) fresher in your mind so your more likely to stick with it
and
b) with a smaller time frame you won't beat up yourself too much just in case you don't complete it

And if you are someone who actually can stick with New Year Resolutions or you just want to try to do things that you think will help make you happier in the New Year and beyond, check out this article that I found on EliteDaily.com,

What's your New Years Resolution, if your making one this year ?
And what's one thing you thing every person should bring into 2014 ?
