Vitality VoxBox.

I'm back with another voxbox courtesy of Influenster.

This was the Vitality VoxBox, containing all things vital in life. And this is what it looked like when I first opened the box.

Starting in the left hand upper corner, the box included Bikini Ready which are gummies that give you energy. So basically a bottle of the 5-hour energy in a tasty little gummy, for those days when you don't have the energy to go work out, it's a little boost. Next to that is Softlips Cube, which was one of my favorites in the box and I'll talk more in depth about that below. Another two of my favorites the Pure Leaf Iced Tea in the flavor Sweet Tea and the First Degree Burn Cream. Also in the box was Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Serum (I can't help but think of Beyonce's Song anytime I see this), which is a perfect product for all those people that are worried about how their skin is gonna age in the future and Playtex Sport Fresh Balance, great for anybody whether you play sports or not and if your a bit paranoid about people knowing or somehow finding out (you ladies know what I mean.)

Out of everything in the box the SoftLips Cube was definetly my favorite. I received the Vanilla Bean one and I loved the scent. It had the prefect vanilla scent it wasn't too strong to the point of being overpowering but strong enough for me to still smell the scent on my lips. A lot of people are gonna compare it to EOS balms because of the shape but in my opinion the cube is so much better at keeping my lips mosturized for a longer period of time. But I'm not getting rid of my Babylips anytime soon, I'll just keep buying both to change up the scents.

A more so weird favorite of mine from this vox box is the First Degree Burn Cream. Let me just put it out there that I am very clumsy and I've burned myself at least 3 times in the past couple months. And for some reason my clumsiness is heightened while I am away at school so this was perfect. It came in handy a little while ago, my friend had burned herself and she said that a little while after she put the cream on she felt relief and we didn't see a scar later on so I would call this a successful product.

The next product I've seen around a lot, especially on my campus but if it wasn't for the vox box I honestly wouldn't have tried it. The Pure Leaf Iced Tea was sooo good. I'm actually really picky with iced tea's because its usually either too sweet or not sweet enough so I would usually just make it myself. But this brand was spot on. It wasn't too sweet which I was nervous about considering it was the Sweet Tea Flavor.

I really love getting these vox box's they allow me to try things that I normally wouldn't have and then in return I get to share what things are worth trying out for yourselves.

* I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes*

But I'm back at school now, and I've settled in and I'm making more free time for myself so I'll be able to upload more often now.

Until Next Time,

The American Dream Tour.

So let's just rewind to a random Saturday in May.
I was catching up on some shows and scrolling through Twitter when I saw I tweet about winning concert tickets. Like many others I retweeted it just for the hell of it even though I think those contest are next to impossible to win.
An hour or so later my phone kept going off. I didn't pay it much mind at first but after awhile I was really curious as to the reason why. It was then I realized that I had won.
I was so shocked and excited.
I checked my DM, did what I was told to do, gave in my information and picked a date.

Now fast forward to August 7th, the day of the show. I headed downtown to meet up with my friend and from there we made our way down to the venue.
The only thing of the night that could have went more smoothly was when the started to let everybody into the venue. We started going in minutes before the first opening act went on and because there are always problems at Will Call we ended up missing their set.

Out of the 2 opening acts that we did get to see our favorite was definitely Action Item. Before they performed I had no idea who they were but they know how to hype up a crowd and put on a show. Their music was catchy, so even if you didn't know their music by the end you were bobbing along to the song. They also interacted with the audience which is a huge plus from me. If they ever go on tour again I would go see them.

Half an hour or so later was the moment every one was waiting for, which was also being streamed on Yahoo for everyone else to see.
They opened with Could Be Me.
They also performed Forever Until Tomorrow, American Dream, No More Second Chances, Heartbreak Holiday, Nowhere, Hide Your Girl, Get My Way, Goodbye Song, Classic, and an acoustic version of Nico and Vinz's song Am I Wrong, ending the night with them singing Thank You as their encore. Here are a couple shitty quality photos and videos from the night.

Overall they put on an amazing show from Tony playing the piano to both Tony and Malcolm playing the drums, them wetting up the crowd with water bottles and water guns to them almost jumping into the crowd and anything else in between that I may have forgotten to add, It was a great night.
Now I'm counting down the days until I get to see the perform again on Demi's World Tour.

What was favorite concert you went to this summer ?
What are some that your looking forward to for the fall ?

Review : L'Oreal Total Repair.

Recently, during my trip to the supermarket and running out of my Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner, I decided to pick up something new.

After spending about a good 10-15 minutes staring at the different bottle to choose which one would be best for me, I eventually made up my mind and decided to go with the L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm. And because I am the type of person who can't just pick up the conditioner without picking up the set I also got the Total Repair Extreme Reconstructing Shampoo and Conditioner (I haven't actually used the conditioner yet but based on these 2 I'm pretty sure it will work just fine.)

The thing that attracted me the most to this set was that it is directed to repairing and reconstructing dry, chemically treated hair. It's suppose to fight split ends, weak, rough, dull and dehydrated hair. And with me getting a relaxer and adding heat to my hair anytime I washed it I figured my hair would fall under this category.

Once I shampooed and deep conditioned my hair with the balm I had already felt a difference. I came out the shower and my hair felt a lot soft. I didn't see this until I really read that bottle that it can repair up to 1 years of damage in 1 use.

I have now been using both these products for about 2 and a half months. I can honestly see where it has helped repair my hair. It's softer, shinier, stronger, has less split ends and I noticed that when I comb or brush my hair I find less hairs in the brush or on the floor.

After using this shampoo and conditioner for awhile, I definitely recommend trying it out if your looking to repair your damaged and/or over-processed hair. That doesn't mean I've completely abandoned my Organix Shampoo and Conditioner, I just switch them out every once in while. But when these products are done I'm definitely going to repurchase.

What are your "go-to", always have to have shampoo and conditioner ?
What are some other hair products that have completely turned you hair around ? Is there anything else I should try ?

Victoria Secret Vox Box.

Before I get asked.....
Which mean I'm NOT getting paid for this and it my truthful and honest opinion.

So about 2 weeks ago, I received a little package. It was a sports bra from Victoria's Secret for me to try out and review. Once I opened the box I was actually shocked at the way it was packaged. I don't know why but I wasn't expecting for it to have been presented that way.

When I opened the box there was the sports bra, a water bottle, a coupon and a postcard that had all the other bras that are in the line.

When I tried on the bra, I struggled to get it on as a usually do with sports bras that don't have a hook but once I did get it on I didn't want to take it off, not because of the little struggle but because it was so comfortable. Another thing that I really like about this line are the options. If your like me and aren't a fan of the sport bras that don't have a hook, they have ones that zip in the front.

Honestly I can see this line doing really well, not only are the bras comfortable, colorful with variety, a lot of people are in a workout craze trying to get fit and in shape.

I plan on going to Victoria's Secret soon to pick up another one because let's face it, as a women you can never have too many bras.

What brand of sports bras do you use ? Do you plan on trying out Victoria's Secret sports bras ?
In your mind what makes the perfect sports bra ?

Album of the Week.

I mean you all should have seen this coming.

I've listened to the album whole a couple times and this is what I've gotten from it so far.

One - I think this song was a great first track for the album. I feel like it's very similar to the way the first album sounded and in a way it's a bridge bringing the two together.

I'm A Mess - Is it just me or does have a band sound to it ? Listening to this one my mind immediately thought Paramore, (old Paramore) like he took one of their songs did it acoustically and killed it, in a good way !

Sing - The song also known as his new identifier. When this sing first came out I was very glad that he decided to experiment with a different sound, but like all singles I also thought I would get sick of it. Surprising I'm still enjoying it like I just heard it for the first time.

Don't - At first I was really nervous because I fell in love with the live version of this song, then I heard a clip of it from the Beats commercial and didn't know if I was gonna like the studio version as much but when I did get to listen to it whole it lived up to what I expected. Also if you listen carefully it has a bit of his older sound in it, the "before + days" so he's staying true to himself.

Nina - I personally don't really know what to say for this song. I don't know how I feel about it yet. Its probably one of those that I either have to let grow on me or that I just won't really have an option on it. I do like the last 1/3 of the song, I'm a sucker for stacking, to me it adds layers to the song.

Photograph - Another one of the songs that remind me of the older album but blends in well with the newer sound.

Bloodstream - This is one of the darker ones on the album and it's the one that I have gravitated to. It's dark but has beauty to it.

Tenerife Sea - Another song that I fell in love with the live version and the studio version lives up to it. It's beautiful and I can see some people wanting it to be their wedding song.

Runaway - Reminds me of old school Justin Timberlake and after hearing this song I want Pharrell and Ed to do a whole EP or album together. I could see this song being a single, if the lyrics were more "cheerier". It's a beat that's very radio friendly.

The Man - This is another one that I don't really know how I feel about yet. I'm just glad to see that he's rapping on his album, especially knowing that Hip Hop is his first love, music wise.

Thinking Out Loud - This is another beautiful one that could possibly be somebody's wedding song. You can feel all the soul and emotion in this one especially around 2:55 of the track.

Afire Love - This damn song pulled on all my heart strings, I may or may not have cried a little. Reading up on the process of how he came to write the song just made it even worst (if you like it, look it up). Personally I think it's one that everybody can connect to, I know I did. It's just beautifully written and beautifully made.

Deluxe Version :

Take It Back - I love how this song sounds like it's just a recording of a live performance. And I love that theirs another song of him rapping on the album. And you can't deny it, he has a nice flow.

Shirtsleeves - Very reminiscent of the material that was on his 'Songs I Wrote With Amy' EP.

Even My Dad Does Sometimes - A song that would have been suited to end the album, in my option. One of the slower and darker songs, lyrically speaking.

I See Fire - I have never seen the Lord of the Rings whole and I honestly don't plan to anytime soon but from what I've seen and heard this song fits the movie perfectly and I'm happy that he added it as a bonus track on the album.

Physically Deluxe Version :

All of the Stars - I wish this was in the digital version but I guess it's an incentive for people to actually buy the physical copy. This movie I actually did see and the song fit perfectly with it. It was this song that almost made me lose it in the movie theater.

My standout tracks are I'm A Mess, Bloodstream, Runaway, Afire Love, and Take It Back, but as I keep listening I'm sure it will change up.

Overall I give this album a 4/5.
I'm enjoying the new sound and I love that his experimenting with the sound.
Majority of the songs are a lot darker compared to the last album, but overall it's a great album to listen to whenever, where ever.

Have you listened to the album yet ? What do you think ?
What's your favorite song(s) of this album ?
What other albums are a must listen to this week ?

Demi On GMA.

This year I was on a mission.
My mission was to go and take advantage of the free concerts in Central Park.
So this year when they announced that Demi would be performing for Good Morning America, I just knew I had to go. Now there was a lot up and downs for those 24 hours but I'm gonna focus on the positives.

She is amazing live !
Even during soundcheck she was performing as if it was live.
Demi sang Heart Attack, Neon Lights, Nightingale, and Really Don't Care, which Cher Lloyd made an appearance for.

My friend was able to get some great video that you can check out below.

For me this was a little taste of what I'm going to see when she goes on her World Tour.
(Amen for being friends with someone who loves the artist as much as you do.)

I said this in my post about Macklemore and Ryan Lewis at GMA, and Im going to say it again,
If you ever get the chance to go, GO because it is worth it !

Who are some artists, groups or bands that your excited to see in concert this summer ?

Day-to-Night

Day-to-Night

I love how easy it is to turn an outfit from a day to night look. I think that this look would be easy and simple enough to recreate or add different pieces to.

Are you more likely to wear a bold lip in the day or night ? What are some key piece that you love to dress up or dress down ?

EP of the Week.

For the past 2 weeks, this band has been preparing their fans for new music and now it's finally here.

I've been listening to this EP since it came out and I really love it.
The sound is very similar to their last album, Symphony Solider, but it's still very different. It has more of a R&B vibe to it.
When I first listened to it 2 songs that stood out to me were "Moon" and "These Are the Lies". These are probably my 2 favorites but the whole EP is worth listening to. You can check out the sampler below and if you like it you can get it here !

What songs or albums have you been listening to recently ?

My Favorite Spring Nail Colors.

Spring is in the air !

Well not really, considering as I'm writing this it's 43 degrees. Even though it was 74, 2 days before.
But either way spring is on it's way, which means it's time to ditch the dark nail colors and trade them in for some brighter colors.

Now, I've never been a fan of bright nail colors but recently I've been loving the pastel colors.

The first one is by Sinful Colors in the color, Hazard.
This color is a orangey-peach color, and without a top coat it's more of a matte color.

Next is China Glaze in the color, Light As Air.
This is a very light lilac color with a hint of grey. This color is very sheer and you need about 2 coats to make it opaque.

Then the color Coral Bikini from Avon, it's a very bright hot pinkish color.

These next 2 are my favorites. The first of the 2 is also from Avon, in the Luxe Lavender and the color is just that a lavender, lilac color. It's more purpley than Light As Air.

The second one is I Need a Refresh - Mint by Wet N Wild (the new version) and this is a Tiffany blue color.

Are or were you enjoying the nicer weather ? What's your favorite thing about Spring ?
What are some of your favorite nail colors for Spring ?

Single of the Week.

If anybody knows me or follows me on twitter, this post is to be expected. After an album, 6 singles, lots of tours and almost 3 years later Ed Sheeran has released a new single (can I get an amen) !

Honestly when I heard he was coming up with a new single I was nervous (as I am when ever an artist I like releases anything). But I'm so glad that he's the type of person that does a little bit of everything. Now I'm excited to hear the rest of his album (not that I wasn't before) knowing that it'll be a little different and a little of what we're use to from him.

But check the song out yourself.

Are you a fan of Ed Sheeran ? What do you think about "Sing" ? Do you wanna hear more of his new sound or want him to go back to what you're use to hear ?
Let me know your thoughts below.

Album of the Week.

It's been awhile since I've been able to do one of these. Since I started going to a new school I'm trying my hardest to be social and stay on top of my work. It's only been about 3 weeks but I think I've found a good balance. That and their have been a couple snow days where I can just relax and work on posts. Thank you Mother Nature.

So this week I have an album that's "new" to the US but a little old for me. I originally got the album when it just came out in the UK. I'm not gonna lie at first I was really nervous for their new album for a few of reasons.
1. To me their debut album wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be. I could maybe pick out 3 songs that I actually really enjoyed.
2. I felt that this album came out too quick. That it was a little "rushed".

After I heard 'Move', I was thinking okay this sounds really good hopefully the rest is like this or better.
I really happy that I didn't forget them after their first album because this one is on another level and in my head I'm going to look at this as their debut album.

So the album starts out with the title of their album, 'Salute', and there is no way you can listen to this song and not look at it as the different opening track. For some reason this song just has a strong Beyonce 'Who Runs The World' feel to it. It's a huge girl empowerment song and I kinda really want them to make this a single cause I want to see what they do with it, visual-wise.

Next is 'Move', which was their first single from this album. This song is more of a dancey pop song where as 'Salute' had a strong R&B presence to it.

The second single - 'Little Me' is another girl empowerment song that I feel is perfect for their younger fans. There's also a unplugged version of the song, that I personally prefer more (to me everything sounds better stripped), on the deluxe version of the album.

Then is 'Nothing Feels Like You', which isn't one of my favorites on the album but I still really like it. It has a very different sound to it.

My favorite on the album, 'Towers', this is one of those stand out songs. I don't know what it is about this song, maybe that I can feel the emotion all throughout it, that I'm a sucker for songs that I can belt out alone, or that fact that they all sound amazing on this track. It's just one of those songs that everyone in the group shines on, instead of just one person.

'Competition' is very similar to 'Nothing Feels Like You' for the simple fact that I don't dislike it but it's not one of my favorites.

'These Four Walls' was a song that I didn't really pay attention to, I don't know why but I didn't, and now that I revisited it I will definitely be listening to it more often. This is one of the couple ballads that on the album and it kind of reminds me of Rihanna's 'Stay'.

Next is 'About The Boy', this song reminds me of 90's Pop/R&B and to me is another one of those stand out songs. This definitely a song that showcases Perrie's voice. That note that she does towards the end, amazing, I'd love to hear it live.

Another stand out song to me, ' Boy', another song with a 90's Pop/R&B vibe. This song also reminds me of Aaliyah's 'Are You That Somebody?', only thing it's missing is the baby throughout the whole song.

'Good Enough' - Another favorite and stand out song to me. I'm not gonna lie when I first heard this song, I teared up a little bit, but to me it's another one of those strength songs. Vocals spot on and amazing.

Throwback..... No seriously this song, 'Mr. Loverboy' has a huge throwback 90's feel to it, again another favorite and stand out of mine.

Last song on the album, 'A Different Beat', I would say that this song is one of my least favorites but I really like the message of the song. But the song fits as the song that ends the album but 'See Me Now' would have too but it's on the deluxe version.

Overall I really enjoyed this album, it's still a go to album for me to listen to now. It really shows who they are now and where they are as artists. This album is more them and the kind of music they want to make. It's like a little mix between EnVogue, TLC, 3LW and Destiny's Child. Now I really wish I had friends that were a fan of Demi Lovato so I could see them all on the Neon Lights Tour.

What's your favorite song on the album ? Did you enjoy this album or the first one better ?
Have you or do you plan to see them on tour ?

Sleek MakeUp i-Divine Ultra Mattes v2 Darks Palette

Just started classes today and there was a snow storm that caused the school to close at 1 yesterday and I have no classes today, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to write this post that I've actually been planning for awhile. And luckily enough I was able to get a couple of pictures of the palette before one of the shadows broke while I was moving in.

About a month ago I decide to order a Sleek palette after looking into it for awhile. I can honestly say I'm so glad I did. It's worth the money and then some. (It was only $10.) The palette I got comes with 12 different matte colors and each color has an amazing color pay off. Each shade is super pigmented.

I don't know if you can tell from the photo or not, but the colors I've "attacked" the most are Maple, which I love to use in my crease, Paper Bag, for when I'm going for a more "natural" look and Dune, I use as a highlight.

I really enjoy matte colors, so I'm enjoying this palette.

Which do you prefer, matte or shimmery colors ?
Have you tried any of Sleeks other products ?

I'm ready to get a couple more palettes.

New Year's Resolution.

With the New Year comes new goals or as we have all come to know New Years Resolutions.
I, just like many other people, have tried the whole making goals for the new year and have failed miserably.

Buying that bottle of Pespi instead of reaching for the water, not telling that one person how you really feel about a situation, or sitting home on a Saturday when you promised yourself you'd try to get out more.
I think that there is a lot of pressure to complete these goals for the whole year because some where in the middle we slip up and loose it all. Which I why I stopped doing the whole 'Making a New Years Resolution' thing. Instead of waiting for January 1st when there are 364 (0r 365 in a leap year) other days for you to make a change.

Instead of trying to make you goal for the whole year right of the bat, start small at 1 week then when you complete it add more time, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months etc. that way it's
a) fresher in your mind so your more likely to stick with it
and
b) with a smaller time frame you won't beat up yourself too much just in case you don't complete it

And if you are someone who actually can stick with New Year Resolutions or you just want to try to do things that you think will help make you happier in the New Year and beyond, check out this article that I found on EliteDaily.com,

What's your New Years Resolution, if your making one this year ?
And what's one thing you thing every person should bring into 2014 ?
